SEO for websites that should rank better than they do.

The reason is rarely the one being blamed. It might be indexation, site architecture, two pages answering the same search, content written for the wrong intent, weak authority, or a technical decision made years ago that nobody connects to this year’s traffic. I work out which it is, prove it with data, and fix it, hands-on or together with your team.

How I work

Five stages, from understanding the business to measured results.

No hundred-page audits full of issues nobody will implement. The work is to find what matters, prove it with data, get it live, and measure what it changed.

  1. 01

    Understand

The business, the website, the market and what success actually means.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

Technical health, search visibility, competitors and where the opportunity sits.

  3. 03

    Prioritise

Separate the issues that move search visibility from the ones that only fill a report.

  4. 04

    Execute

Implementation by me, by your team, or both, as agreed.

  5. 05

    Measure

Rankings, organic visibility, AI citations, conversions and technical health.

Selected work

Four sites. Results you can check.

A global HR platform, a New York listings site, a coupon publisher and a SaaS app. None of them started with a keyword list, and every result below is measured, dated and backed by a second, independent source.

Client feedback

The output was clear, well considered, and genuinely useful, not just surface level SEO research. He helped give us confidence in the direction and next steps.

Services

What I am usually hired to do.

Most engagements start with an audit and strategy and continue as ongoing work once the priorities are settled. Each service has its own page with the workflow and the results it can bring.

Technical SEO

Crawlability, indexation, site architecture, speed and everything between the server and the search result.

61 → 93 mobile PageSpeed score

SEO Strategy

Where the opportunity actually is, what it is worth, and the order in which to go after it.

95 → 1,025 keywords in Google's top three

Content & On-Page SEO

Content strategy, information architecture and pages that match what the search actually wants.

718 → 3,416 first-page rankings in six months

AI Search Optimization

Visibility inside Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and the answers that replace a click.

818 google AI Overviews citing the site

E-commerce SEO

Category and product architecture, faceted navigation, product data and the templates that decide a whole catalogue.

+43.6% click-through rate after rating schema

Authority & Link Building

Links and mentions earned from sites that matter in your market, planned as part of the strategy.

0 → 37 domain Rating, client-reported

SEO Audits

A diagnosis with a ranked list of what to change, not a 200-issue export nobody will act on.

17 → 99 top-three rankings, two months after the audit

Local & International SEO

Location pages that deserve to exist, and multi-market sites that do not compete with themselves.

#1 employer-of-record searches in several countries

Why clients bring me in

Technical depth, data, and the judgement to use less of it.

Plenty of consultants can produce a keyword list and an export of warnings. Fewer can tell you which of those warnings is the reason your traffic is flat, and fewer still will prove it with data and then get the fix live.

01

I read the site, not only the tools

A crawler reports what it managed to check. Coming from software, I go to the markup, the response headers and the rendered page and confirm what is actually true. That distinction has reversed the conclusion more than once.

02

Numbers behind every decision

I build my own research on search data: rankings, competitors, search results and AI answers pulled at scale, analysed, and checked against a second source before they reach a recommendation.

03

I name one problem, not ninety

Any tool will find hundreds of issues on any site. Almost none of them are why it is underperforming. The deliverable is the constraint, the evidence behind it, and the order everything else goes in.

04

Hands-on, or with your team

I can implement the changes myself, in the CMS, the markup, the structured data and the content, or give your developers and writers precise instructions. Which one is agreed per project, and either way the work goes live.

Fit

Worth knowing before you write.

The sector matters less than the situation. I work with e-commerce, SaaS, B2B services, marketplaces, publishers, real estate, travel, affiliate sites and local and multi-location businesses, from small sites to catalogues of tens of thousands of pages.

A good fit if

  • Organic search is, or should be, a real source of revenue or leads
  • Rankings or traffic have stalled, dropped or never taken off
  • A migration, redesign or new market is coming up
  • You want to be cited in AI search, not only ranked
  • You want a strategy with numbers behind it, not a checklist

Not what I offer

Guaranteed rankings
Nobody controls Google's results. I commit to the work, the reasoning behind it and honest measurement, not to a position by a date.
Link packages by the hundred
I do not sell links by volume. Where authority is genuinely the constraint, outreach is planned from relevant, quality-checked sources as part of the strategy.
Reporting for its own sake
If what is needed is a monthly deck with no change behind it, an agency will do it more cheaply. My reporting exists to decide what to do next.

How I think about SEO

Four positions I work from.

These are the reason my recommendations are shorter than most, and the reason they tend to name one thing to fix first.

SEO is not a checklist

Technical health, content, authority and experience are one problem, not four scored separately.

Find the constraint

One structural decision is usually holding everything else back. Name it and most of the list stops mattering.

Prioritise for impact

Five changes that go live beat fifty that sit in a spreadsheet, so every recommendation carries its evidence.

Build for search beyond ten blue links

Assistants pick sources on clarity and structure. Same fundamentals, applied to pages that have to be quotable.

Have an SEO problem worth solving?

Tell me what is happening on your site. If I am the right person for it, you will get a direct answer about what I think the problem is and how I would approach it. If I am not, I will say so.
